Samsung ATIV S

Samsung Ativ S

So I’ve been using the Samsung ATIV S for a couple of days now. Got my original one replaced on New Years Eve as it was giving me problems. And since I bought the phone, why would I want to hold onto a defective piece of hardware? LOL ANYWAY….. The phone is actually not too bad, I am quite liking it. Though it does feel really light and a little on the cheap side compared to the Nokia which is heavy but n a way that it makes the phone feel very durable and not afraid of it breaking to bits of dropped.

The only thing I do have to complain about it is the power button placement. I guess I am used to the Galaxy S3 which feels more natural to press the power button, the power button location on the Samsung requires me to extend my tiny thumbs higher on the phone to hit it. Not a big problem, it’s something I can get used to.

Here is a shot of the Galaxy S3 compared with the Ativ S.

Both phones have the Micro USB Port at the bottom of the phone.

I do however like the fact that the battery is removable and with the extra microSD capability gives this phone more of an advantage to the other phone. Though it lacks the wireless charger. I am curious though if the battery is inter-changeable with the Galaxy S3s. Don’t really want to test that theory out tho. LOL

Overall, I now do think the phone deserves it’s high end value that Samsung has advertised it as. And one of the better Windows Phone 8 devices in the market. Along side with the Nokia Lumia 920 🙂
